Joseph D. Bostaph, of Baden, formerly of Moon Township, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Franciscan Manor. He was born in Wetmore Township on July 24, 1942 to the late Joseph F. and Emma M. (Sullivan) Bostaph. Beloved brother of Daniel (Nancy), David (Patricia), Eric (Donna) Bostaph Myrna Sommerer; uncle of Christopher (Monica) Bostaph, Janine (Joseph) Tarsavage, Matthew Sommerer, Lynn Sommerer, Scott Bostaph and Erica; great uncle of James, Gregory, Amber and James. He is also survived by his guardian angel Leslie Pazur. Joseph, a quiet man, was a member of Center Point Community Church in Center Township. He retired from Ryerson Steel, Carnegie. Joseph served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967. He loved cats, especially his Fluffy. Visitation Thursday 4:30 – 8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 2:30 PM with military honors. If desired, donations may be made in his name to the Disabled American Veterans.
