Born January 7, 1933 in Sewickley, daughter of the late John Burkett Wood and Lotus (Poppenger) Wood Deiley and step-daughter of George Deiley. Beloved wife of James R. Laird; mother of James George Laird of Trafford, PA, Gary Michael (Linda) Laird of Hanover, PA, and Donald Harold (Kimberly) of Pittsburgh, PA. Grandmother of Daniel, Erin and Shannon; LaVerne raised 3 sons, enjoyed golf and played in various card groups. Viewing Monday 5-8 PM Copeland’s Coraopolis 867 Fifth Avenue where a service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment Coraopolis Cemetery
