Zvonka “Belle” Dobias, age 92, of Sewickley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Belle was the beloved wife of the late John Bankovich and the late William Dobias; loving mother of Diane Freuden, John Bankovich, and the late Susie Jurewicz; cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn Jurewicz; and dear sister of the late Beroslav Fec.
A faithful and devoted longtime member of St. James Church, Belle remained active throughout the years in Bible study and many church activities. She also enjoyed participating in the swim club at the YMCA, where she formed many lasting friendships.
Belle had a love for travel and especially enjoyed her many trips to Florida. She found happiness in shopping, tending to her beautiful flower garden, and most of all, hosting family gatherings where she lovingly cooked for those she treasured most.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, strong faith, generosity, and the joy she brought to her family and friends. Belle’s loving presence and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends received on Wednesday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley, where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am.
