Willie O. Kimbrough

Willie O. Kimbrough, 70, of Coraopolis, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Magnolia, Alabama on September 8, 1955, one of four children to the late William Cannie Berry and Savannah Louise (Edwards) Kimbrough. Willie was a 1973 graduate of Marengo High School in Dixon Mill, Alabama, hence the nickname “Alabama Slick”. Willie joined the U.S. Army and became a Paratrooper and sharpshooter during the Vietnam War. He was so proud of serving his country. Willie was a member of American Legion Post 6 and Post 618, VFW, the Mason’s and Praise Center Worship. For 19 years, he worked for Conrail Railroad as a Conductor. Willie was warm hearted and loved helping others. He was always doing odd jobs along with lawncare for neighbors and friends. Beloved husband for 15 years to Gracie A. (Smith) Kimbrough; loving step-father of Cassie Murphy; loving father of Tamika Kimbrough (Louis Ford); grandfather of Casion Murphy, Nasir Murphy, Sincere Kimbrough and Chance Ford-Kimbrough; brother of Mary Hope (Hamilton Hope Sr.)and the late Earlean Blackman (the late Carle Blackman), and the late William (surviving spouse Gwen “Sissy”); uncle of Andretta (Nell) Kremer; great uncle of Alliyah Kimbrough; best Army buddy Kenneth “KC” Carter; also other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be celebrated Saturday at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to the American Legion, Post 618, 526-528 Broadway Ave., McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
