William "Bill" J. Nestor

William “Bill” J. Nestor; Age 80, of McKees Rocks, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 22, 2026. Beloved husband of 36 years to Rebecca “Becky” (Tranter) Nestor. Cherished father of Laura (Dean) Campbell, Katie Nestor and John (Lori) Nestor. Brother of Timothy Nestor, Patty Harrington and the late Joy Dourlain. Grandfather of Deana, Joseph, Joshua, Jacob, Gabrielle, Kerri, Justin, Kiersten, Jessica, Katherine, Owen, Elias, Jude and the late Baby Louis. Great-grandfather of Alexander, Addison, Chloe, Ellie, Sadie, Trevor, Gracie, Liam, Miles, Seraphina, Emerson, Jasper, Julia, Jamie, Kaleb, Alexander, Josselyn, Sophie and Kiera. Also survived by dear friends Scott and Karen Lamphere & Chloe along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

 Bill’s life was deeply rooted in his lifelong love for the Lord Jesus Christ. A devoted member of Allegheny Center Alliance Church for 72 years, his faith was not only something he professed, but something he faithfully lived. Throughout the years, Bill served his church in many capacities, including sitting on the Board of Trustees, volunteering as a deacon, assisting with communion, teaching Sunday school, working with young men in the Christian Brigade and sharing his love of music as a member of the church choir and men’s quartet. His favorite hymn, “It Is Well with My Soul,” beautifully reflected the steadfast faith by which he lived his life.

Above all, Bill cherished time spent with his family. He especially enjoyed gathering around the table for board games and card games. Bill was aways the stickler for the rules around games and he treasured the simple moments shared with those he loved. A lifelong baseball fan, Bill faithfully cheered on the Pittsburgh Pirates, but some of his greatest enjoyment came from watching his grandchildren play sports.

Bill had many interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, poetry, singing, and could often be heard whistling a tune. He was also an avid James Bond fan.

Bill was truly a man of his word. If he said he was going to do something, he did it. Dependable, faithful, and devoted to those he loved, he lived his life with conviction and integrity. His faith, his love for his family, and the example he set will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Ltd., 867 5th Avenue, Coraopolis on Sunday August 30, 2026 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. Additional visitation will  be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 10am until time of service at 11am. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10 AM at Allegheny Center Alliance Church (Northside), 250 E.
