William "Bill" Kirby

William "Bill" Kirby; Age 86, a longtime resident of Moon Twp, PA passed away after a courageous battle on Friday, December 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 59 years to Kathleen "Kathy" (Guerriero) Kirby. Cherished father of Mark Kirby, Pat Kirby and Leslie McElhaney (Kevin). A much adored Grandfather “Poppy” of William "Bill" Kirby (Annah), Megan Kirby (Katie) and Kyle McElhaney. Loving Great-grandfather of Ella & Cole Kirby (and their baby sister due in the spring) and Enzo Sagastume. 

Brother of the late Regis (Dolores), Kathleen, Timothy (survived by Mary Ellen), Nancy, and James Kirby; Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins and his extended family and friends including those at Aliquippa Christian Assembly where he and his wife attended for over 35 years. Bill loved the Lord, his family whom he proudly took photos of capturing and sharing each moment, telling jokes, helping family members, friends and neighbors without hesitation, cheering on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, and celebrating his Irish heritage.

Family and friends will be received at the Aliquippa Christian Assembly church (166 West Shaffer Road, Center Township, PA 15001) on Wednesday (12/7) from 4 - 8 PM and on Thursday (12/8) from 10 - 11 AM followed by funeral services at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Moon Township. The family is inviting those who want to join them back at the church for a luncheon and celebration of his life. The family suggest either a floral expression of sympathy or a donation in Bill's name to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Inc., Moon Twp.
