William “Bill” White, 74, of Sewickley passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at Wexford Healthcare Center. Born November 13, 1946, in Sewickley, he was one of six children born to the late William C. and Ruth May (Woods) White. Bill worked as a farmhand for various estates in Sewickley Heights. Without any formal training, but with an exceptional mechanical mind and ability, he fixed and maintained farm equipment with parts to spare. As an avid hunter of Pennsylvania Whitetail, he loved that his occupation afforded him the flexibility of being outdoors. Bill was known to many as outgoing and friendly; anyone that met him could not help but like him. He had a lively sense of humor and a remarkable ability to tell the most adventurous tales. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Love and his half-brothers, Lee White, and Leo White.
Surviving is his love of 49 years, Nancy Casher; his siblings, Janet (Tom) Klixbull, and Benny (Judy) White.
Friends will be received at Copeland’s, Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 for a funeral service at 4:30pm with former Pastor Orville Jones of the Blackburn Methodist Church officiating and visitation will follow service from 5-7pm. Private burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial.
