Walter M. London, 87, a Neville Island resident since 1957, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice House. Walter was the youngest child and last surviving of 8, born in Punxsutawney on December 20,1933 to the late Irvin M. and Bertha (Zimmerman) London. Beloved husband of 68 years to Helen (Bargerstock) London; loving father of Nancy Flick and her husband Randy of Moon Township; cherished grandfather known as “Pop” of Amy Flick and Tracey Foltz and her husband Kevin; doting great grandfather “Pop” of Sammie and Dani; brother of the late Mary Knarr, Bob London, Ethel Yoder, Art London, Eileen Parrish, Irvin “Sonny” London, and Bill London. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Walt worked 33 + years for Capitol Airlines then United Airlines. He also had worked 10 years as a Security Guard for Neville Chemical. Walt was a dedicated member of F & AM Lodge #674 where he served as Past Master in both 1974 and 1997. More importantly, he was an instructor/ teacher/ and mentor to all who were joining the lodge. Very community oriented, he also previously served as a Neville Island Commissioner. Visitation Tuesday (February 9) 2-4, 6-8 (with Masonic Service at 7 PM) at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Wednesday (February 10) 11 AM. Burial will follow in Sewickley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to First Baptist Church of Coraopolis.
