Violet M. (Dinell) Santeufemio, 97 years young, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospice House. Violet was born at home in Coraopolis, on February 9, 1929, one of nine children to the late Albert R. and Louise (Nardelli) Dinell. On December 19, 2011, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominick R. Santeufemio, who she married on July 15, 1948. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Virginia Valenzi, Eleanor Turner, Anne Minarik, Rose Demay, Lawrence, Joseph, Albert, and Don Dinell. All her life, Violet lived in Coraopolis, where she attended school and was a member of St. Joseph Church where she received all her sacraments. Every Sunday, the whole family would have a regular Italian dinner, surrounded by fresh aromas, laughter, chaotic playing of children, an all-around satisfying happy sharing camaraderie. Violet worked at Allegheny Plastics for years. Always ready for a card game, Violet would sit with her sisters, drink coffee, and laughter would surround them. She loved hosting all the holidays and would always feed anyone that she welcomed into her home. Violet made the traditional Italian cuisine, her special fast sauce (that was really hot) as well as her delicious Spanish rice. Violet is survived by her two loving sons and their wives, Dominick R. and Donna Santeufemio of Moon Township and Dennis A. and Regina Santeufemio; cherished grandmother of Ryan (Kara) Santeufemio, Mandy (Dave) Stevens, Casey (Alex) Reinig, Denise (Donnell Wilson) Santeufemio, Danielle (Will Duque) and Dennis (Sarah) Santeufemio; also 12 great grandchildren. Visitation Sunday from 2 PM-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where prayers will be recited on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Violet's family would like to extend a thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice House for their kindness and tender loving care during her time there.
