Vincent D. Thomas age 68, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, cared for by his family at home, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, September 15, 2023. Vince was born in Sewickley on June 28, 1955, to Virginia E. (Tymous) and the late Harold D. Thomas. Vince was a creative and talented musician. He formed and played with many musical local bands and was known for his love of music and his legendary guitar skills. Vince also had a love for model trains. Vince was a graduate of Cornell High School, class of 1973, and will be remembered for his legendary “big hair”, as well as his musical talent which was very similar to Jimmy Hendricks. Vince is survived by his mother, Virginia E. Thomas; siblings James Thomas of Greenfield, PA, Laura J. Sims and husband Marvin of Orlando, FL, David Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA, Philip Finch and wife Nicolette of Chippewa, Glenn Rawl of Arizona, and DaRon Rawl of New Castle; also, many nieces and nephews. Well loved by his family, they took care of Vince and they all supported Vince in his journey to Glory. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. from 10 AM until time of service at 1 PM. Rev. Dee Dee Ferguson will officiate. As we all go about our earthly lives, and a little tune comes to mind, think of a fond memory of Vince.
