Thomas A. (Sr.) Necastro

Thomas A. Necastro, Sr., age 85, a father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Thomas was born in Sewickley on November 10, 1935, one of two sons to the late Peter and Margaret (Astorino) Necastro. Tom grew up in Coraopolis but was a Moon resident most of his adult life. He was a retired manager for First Federal where he oversaw the mortgage division. Tom was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and the Kiwanis Club. He had a love of cars; he enjoyed the thrill of getting a different car all the time. But most important to Tom, was his family, he loved them dearly. Cherished brother of Joseph Necastro (Jorge Garcia); beloved father of Thomas Necastro, Jr. (Beth) and Linda Greene (Ken); devoted grandfather of Lauren Necastro (fiancé Renee Duckett), Taylor von Sternberg (Paul), Josh Necastro, Jason Greene (Jessy), Jenna Shedlock (Eric), and Jamie Greene (fiancé Kristin Heller); proud great grandfather of Nate, Levi, Brandon, Kaylyn, and Paisley; and his loving companion of almost 25 years Melissa Kegg. Tom will be remembered for his odd sense of humor and being a little goofy. The family kids will miss him asking them for “peace and quiet” for just a small fee. Visitation Thursday, August 12th from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where a brief service to be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tracey followed by further visitation until 8:00 p.m. On Friday, a service will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
