Thomas Francis Glessner, November 15, 1926 to September 4, 2022
Thomas Francis Glessner, long-time resident of Moon Township, PA, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Sewickley Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was 95 years old.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Margaret, to whom he was devoted. He was also survived by his two daughters, Margaret Glessner Victor and Kathleen (William) Fusco; four grandchildren, Meghan (Matthew) Galluzzo, Jason (Courtney) Fusco, Caitlin (Robert) Harper, and Joshua (Erica) Fusco; and eight great-grandchildren who were the loves of his life: Sydney, Maggie, Olivia, Riley, Evan, Judah, Norah, and preceding him in death, Owen (The World). Thomas also leaves behind a brother, Joseph, of New Jersey and was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Maude (Latshaw) Glessner; and three siblings, Frank, Margaret, and Marie.
Thomas was born in Mt. Carmel, PA. After serving honorably in the Army during World War II, Thomas went on to work at J&L Steel while also getting an associate degree in business from Robert Morris University. He also worked at Valley Ambulance as an EMT. His interests were spending time with his family who he loved and cherished so dearly, gardening, and sharing his amazing vegetables with everyone.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Thomas to the Owen Galluzzo Memorial Fund.
Friends and family will be received for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Copeland Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Clinton UP Church Cemetery.
