Thelma (Bernsdorff) Beeler, fondly known to her family as “Selsie”, 98, a life-long resident of Bell Acres, passed peacefully in her Bell Acres home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, with her son by her side. Thelma was born in Pittsburgh on July 16, 1923, the last survivor of five children born to the late Charles and Ann (Heathcoat) Bernsdorff. On November 4, 2013, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, James C. Beeler. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Darlene A. Vescio, grandson James Vescio, her siblings Howard, Chuck, Harold, and Loretta. Thelma is survived by her loving son Charles Beeler and her cherished granddaughter Samantha Beeler. Thelma proudly kept her home immaculate, enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, gardening, and playing cards. She made all feel welcome in her home and at Christmas, would spend quite a few days baking Christmas Cookies to give to friends and family. Services were private.
