Tamasine “Tammy” (DeAngelis) Battles, 65, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Heritage Valley Sewickley. Born on November 13, 1960, in Kennedy Township, PA, she was one of four children born to the late Dominic and Helen (Oles) DeAngelis. In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her husband James LaVoy Battles; her sister Marge Brown DeAngelis, and brothers Timmy and Tommy DeAngelis; her brother-in-law Jack Battles and sister-in-law Rita Battles. Tammy was the beloved mother of Marcus (Lakiese) Battles, Deon (Cinthia) Battles, stepson James (Gina) LaVoy Battles, Jr., and stepdaughter Kimberly (Shawn) Lynn Battles Phelps; her six grandchildren Marcus Dre’von Battles, Tre’von Montana Battles, Deon Amir Battles, A’mari James Battles, Nevaeh Khali Battles, and Khaliyah Lynn Battles; along with a host of relatives and friends. Tammy was a 1978 graduate of Sto-Rox High School. She loved caring for her family and making their home warm and welcoming. No one ever left her home hungry because she was an amazing cook and baker. Tammy had the gift of creativity through artistic drawing and clever crafts. She volunteered at the free children’s lunch program hosted by Who So Ever Wills Mission for the youth of Coraopolis. Our hearts are broken and tears spill down our face. We miss our mom so much. Know that you will always be loved and never forgotten. We love you so much. Always in our hearts. Memorial visitation on Wednesday, May 6 from 4 PM until time of service at 5 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave.
