Suzanne Alethea (Poynter) Gauthier

Suzanne Alethea (Poynter) Gauthier passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital at the age of 58. Suzanne recently made Moon Township her home in May 0f 2016, formerly of Virginia Beach, VA. Suzanne was born in Quantico, VA on August 16, 1959, one of four daughters to William (deceased) and Denise (Cosgrove) Poynter. Suzanne grew up in Virginia and had worked as a credentialist for Beacon Health Options in Norfolk, VA. Suzanne was an animal lover and member of ASPCA. She was a hard worker, a loving and caring mother who enjoyed movies, reading, and paint by number. Beloved mother of Douglas Shost (Kaleigh Hamrick); loving sister of Elaine Poynter, Marilyn Jacobsen and Debbie Poynter; aunt of Skye Poynter, Jennifer, Randy, Brandon; grandmother of Addy; Doug’s father, James Shost; and her beloved cats; Trixie and Surabi. Suzanne requested cremation. If desired, family suggests donations to ASPCA in support of her love of animals.
