Rittick, Susan "Suzy"; It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzy Rittick. Suzy passed away with her daughter Sara Rittick, fiancé Steve Schulenburg, her dog Vegas, and cat Belle by her side after a two and a half year battle with cancer.
Suzy was born on February 11, 1965 in Pittsburgh, PA to Nancy (Schaefer) Walsh and Raymond Windstein. She was a graduate of Baldwin High School and was employed by the Moon Area School District.
Suzy is survived by her mother Nancy (Jim) Walsh. Father Raymond (Delores) Windstein, her sister Sandra (Ken) Richards, her nieces Kaitlyn (Mitchell) Prunty and Halle Richards, and her great-nephew Aiden. Suzy is also survived by Steve's daughter Madison Schulenburg, his mother Joanne Schulenburg, and his sister Joanne (Michael) Jeffers.
Suzy was a loving mother with a great personality. People were drawn to her outgoing nature and she made many close friends throughout her life. She was incredibly witty, always cracking jokes and making people laugh. Suzy also prided herself in being a hard worker. She could never just sit down and relax, she always had to be productive. She was an incredibly strong and resilient woman and inspired those around her. Suzy loved vacationing, with Hawaii being her favorite. She also was an avid bird watcher and could tell you the type of bird just by their call. Suzy will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. A memorial visitation will be held at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp on Saturday, January 25th from 11 am - 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
