Susan E. (Carpenter) Scullin

Susan Erintha Scullin (nee Carpenter). On Saturday, January 29, 2022. Beloved wife of James “Jimmy” Scullin. Daughter of the late Walter and Doris Carpenter. Beloved mother of Matthew Scullin of Yosemite, CA and Bridget (Robert) Stevens of Moon Twp. Loving sister to Amy (Ed) Haggard and the late Michael Carpenter. Special “Granny” to Jonathan and Quinlan Stevens. Beloved aunt/auntie of Warren, James, Nora, John, Andrew, Liz, and Aleah. Also survived by many loving cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, dear friends, and her beloved dog Willy. Susan grew up in Lancaster, PA and moved to New York in 1970 where she met her beloved Jimmy. After marrying in 1978, together they moved to Beacon, NY and eventually to Moon Twp in 2015.  Susan’s favorite things to do included taking trips to World’s End State Park and Montauk, NY, listening to her favorite music (she had very eclectic taste), reading her favorite books, and walking her dog. But nothing was more important to her than being with her friends and family. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Margaret Mary Church, 1 Parish Place, Moon Township, PA 15108. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan’s memory can be made to an animal charity of the donor’s choice.
