Susan (Fasano) MacFarland

MacFarland, Susan; Age 69 of Moon Township, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 after a brief illness. Born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on November 2, 1954, a daughter of the late Angelo and Madeline Fasano. Beloved wife of 8 years to Gerald "Mac" MacFarland. Loving mother of Angela Frable and Aaron (Michelle) Malik. Step-mother of Brian (Jennifer) MacFarland. Sister of the late Robert Fasano. Special "Mimi" to Zack, Dax, Sophia, Liv and Logan. Susan is also survived by her devoted cat, Krumm, that she cared for and loved unconditionally. Susan worked for 25 years as a Special Education Teaching Assistant with the Moon Area School District. After her retirement in 2016, in her spare time, Susan loved reading books and enjoyed spending quiet, tranquil time outside on her porch. “Family is not an important thing. It’s everything” words spoken by Michael J. Fox which exemplify the person Susan was. Family meant everything to HER. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp on Monday, April 29th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 30th at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan's memory may be made to Animal Friends.
