Stephen "Peppie" King-Depkon

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we find ourselves suddenly saying goodbye to Stephen B. King-Depkon, lovingly known as “Peppie” who died on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Stephen was a multi-award winning salesman and a retired Allegheny County Deputy Sheriff. Steve was a proud Pittsburgh native who enjoyed his home in the country. He loved cars; dogs; the ocean, especially The Outer Banks, NC; the outdoors and working on projects. He was a people person and really went out of his way to help anyone he could. His love, kindness, smile, laugh and stories will sorrowfully be missed by all those who knew him. Steve was truly one of a kind who left a lasting impact everywhere he went.

Steve is preceded in death by Beverly King-Depkon, Mother; Frank Depkon, stepfather; LeRoy P. King and Olive Marie King; Earl Foster, Uncle, Lenore King-Hoovler, Aunt, and Ernest Wayne King, Uncle. 

Steve is survived by his Loving Wife of 42 years, Janine S. Richardson-Depkon. Other survivors are Stacey Depkon-Bostaph, daughter (Anthony Bostaph); Sean Depkon, son (Brittany Sutton). His Grandchildren Anthony Jr.; Dylan; Stephanie (Ron); Madison (Dakota); Anthony Jr.; and Billy. His great-grandchildren Kyle, Ella and Brycen. His siblings Karen, Patricia (Dennis), Frank Jr. (Tracey); Michelle (Scott); Marcia (Jeff). His loving Aunts Patricia King-Sommer; Helen King-Dixon (Carl); Kathy King-Foster. Many nieces and nephews and 3 brothers-in-law.

Friends received at R. D. Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 981 Broadhead Road, Moon Township, PA. Monday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 2, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
