Stephen P. Soltez

Stephen Paul Soltez, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Pittsburgh on August 7, 1956, one of five children to the late Elmer and Audrey (Richeret) Soltez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Pamela and Mark Soltez. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rachele (Obusek) Soltez, who he married on September 9, 1995. They had a beautiful 31 years of marriage. Also surviving, three loving children Taylor (Cyndi Horvath) Soltez, Drake Soltez, and Hunter (fiancé Brenden Wiatrak) Soltez; cherished brother of Keith Soltez and Chris Soltez; and his best fur friends Duke and Deuce, as well as grand dogs Raphy, Mikey, and Diesel.  Stephen had been employed for over 20 years as a mechanic for the Port Authority. Stephen made his home in Moon Township since 1995, formerly of Kennedy Township. While he was in Kennedy Township, he was a member of St. Malachy where he was an altar server. Later, he became a member of St. Joseph Church where he and Rachele were married. Steve was a man of few words but had a strong opinion about Family. He loved his children and was a great husband. He was also opinionated about cars; you could only drive a Dodge. Speaking of which, his last truck was a Dodge Laramie. Steve loved a good Margareta along with his pack of Pall Malls.  It is with sad hearts that we slowly watched you decline and now turn you over to God. Please watch over us until we meet again.
