Stephen A. Kosko; age 92, a lifelong resident of Neville Island passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 6, 1934, Steve was the son of the late Steve and Margaret (Gulish) Kosko. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Dolores J. (Bordas) Kosko. Loving father of Valerie (Kevin) Cooney and Diane Kosko. Special uncle of Stephanie (Dennis) Shea and Pamela (Robert) De Buhr. Brother of the late Evelyn Squires. Steve was a graduate of Neville High School in 1953 and then Westminster College in 1957. While attending school he excelled in sports, lettering in football, basketball and baseball and joining the Sigma Nu Fraternity at Westminster. After school, he served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and also was a member of the USO football league. He retired from Braun Baking Co and later Towers Perrin. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and attending the Silver Sneakers Fitness Center in Moon Twp. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan never missing a game. In his retirement, he and his wife Dolores enjoyed traveling and taking cruises throughout the world. He will forever be cherished by his family and dear friends. Calling hours will be held at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Coraopolis on Friday, August 7th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 8th at 9am followed by funeral Mass at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
