Simon Burns Obituary

Simon Peter Burns

The world is a bit less bright with the passing of Pete Burns, who passed away in the company of his wife of 57 years on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Pete was a 1960 graduate of McKeesport High School and a lifelong employee of Allegheny Airlines and USAirways, where he was an iconic figure in PIT Reservations. He was a longtime resident of Bethel Park and a fixture in the local community. Pete was predeceased by his parents Simon Peter and Regina (nee Clay) and his brothers Patrick Kenny and William Clay (Mary). He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, his son Bryan Patrick (Amy), and his two granddaughters Madeline Bridget and Katherine Shea. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews with whom he shared a deep affection.

Pete was a light of humor, wit, and friendship in a weary world; may perpetual light shine upon him.
