Shawn Martin Parry was born in Pittsburgh on February 28, 1969, and passed unexpectedly on April 18, 2026. He was 57 years old.
Shawn is survived by his mother Eva Mae Kaplan Parry Colosimo; stepfather Samuel A. Colosimo, Jr.; sister Candace Marie Kirkwood (Richard Kirkwood, Jr.) brother Samuel A. Colosimo III (Kayla) and their beautiful children, Beckham, Everly, Luca and Callum of Austin, TX; father Ronald J. Parry (Judy Casey Parry) of Perrysburg, OH; stepbrothers Jim Casey (Angela) and John Casey and stepsister Mary Casey; aunts and uncles in order of age Judy Kaplan, Marty Kaplan (Joyce), Danny Kaplan (Cookie) Patty Kaplan, Jeanne Franco Verbonich (Rick); special mention of deceased aunt Marianne Hohmann (Rick) and Rick Hohmann (Theresa); his estranged daughter Cassandra “Cassie” Shafer of Nashville, TN; also many loving cousins.
Shawn worked for Verizon, Highmark, PNC, and Guardian Protection. He was in sales and service. He could sell ice to an Eskimo.
He was known for his keen wit and sense of humor and also his love of dogs. He was loved by many neighbors, in particular Barbara and Linda, who lived above him and a new neighbor Dave.
His mother, sister and brother loved him dearly. Unfortunately, Shawn was overcome with anxiety, loneliness and depression. Later in life, no amount of love and care seemed to make a difference. Although he died of coronary artery disease, the overwhelming anxiety invaded his every sleeping moment. God finally said, my son, you have suffered enough, come to me and I’ll welcome you with open arms. Shawn is now free of pain. There is no more despair. He is at peace with his loving grandmothers and many relatives who also died of heart disease.
The mourning is private and forever. His interment is at St. James Columbarium in Sewickley, PA. His mother’s final resting place is with him.
Love you Shawn in this life and forever after.
Mumice (YOUR MOM).
