Sean Brady Obituary

Sean Michael Brady

November 15, 1976 – March 10, 2026

Sean Michael Brady, age 49, a lifelong resident of Moon Township, passed away unexpectedly at his home. He was a man of simple pleasures, a deep love for his family, and a "good soul".

Sean was a natural athlete whose talents were recognized early on. After a standout high school career, he earned a scholarship to play football at Boston University. He later completed his degree in Business at Clarion University. Throughout his life, Sean carried that same discipline into his work. Known for his solid work ethic, he was a dedicated employee who took pride in every job he held.

Sports were the heartbeat of Sean’s life. A die-hard Notre Dame football fan, Sean spent his Saturdays cheering on the Irish alongside his parents and nephews. He was a loyal supporter of the Boston Celtics, often found sporting his green gear and passionately "coaching" from the couch. His favorite athletes, however, were his niece and nephews. Sean was a constant fixture in the stands, cheering the loudest for every basket, point, and touchdown they scored.

Sean loved taking long walks and was rarely seen without one of his signature tossle caps. Music was his constant soundtrack, and he possessed a deep appreciation for all genres and the energy of a live show. He shared a special bond with his father over their mutual love for movies and was famously "spoiled" by his mother’s homemade cooking—which he firmly believed was best paired with a cold Mountain Dew. Above all, Sean was a friend of animals, leaving behind his cherished dog Lucy, who was his constant shadow.

Sean’s sudden departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his devoted parents Michael and Suzanne Brady of Moon Township, loving sister Colleen (Michael) Sunday, and nephews Brady, Collin, and Casey and niece Reilly Sunday, who were his absolute pride and joy. Sean was also loved by his large extended family of Aunts and Uncles including Kathryn Brady, Patsy (Howdy) Beasock, Margaret Vermeulen, Bridget Brady, Diana Rice, Gerry (Vivian) Brown, and John (Maryann) Brown, along with many cousins and dear friends, as well as loving relatives who passed away before him.

Sean taught those around him that you don’t need much to have a full life, just a good game on the TV, a walk in the fresh air, and the company of the people you love. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
