Ruth Marie (Kasperski) Mamel

Ruth Marie Kasperski Mamel, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Frank Mamel. Loving mother of Victor (Jodi) Mamel and Linda Michelbrink. Beloved grandma of Crissy, Susan, Julia, and Sarah. Beloved great grandma of Bennett, Jeremiah, Jabari, Mackenzie, Dominic, Evelyn, Nicky, and Elizabeth. She was born on March 20, 1927, to the late Victor and Marie Kasperski at home in Kennedy Township in a house that her father built, that still stands to this day. She was the eldest of five (Ethel, Victor, Ray, and Eleanor). Having grown up on a farm in Robinson Township, her passion was gardening, and she loved “digging in the dirt”. She also loved quilting, baking, and crossword puzzles. She would work the puzzles long distance with her sister-in-law Anna Kasperski. She enjoyed the many phone conversations with her niece, Betty, and her cousin Mary Lou. She will be remembered as a selfless mom and grandma who always had a smile even when times were tough. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley Beaver for their care and kindness. Family will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp on Tuesday, September 5 from 2 – 3 followed by a service at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Phil Gorog.
