Rose Ann (Flowers) Brezny

Rose Ann Brezny, Age 95, of Sewickley, PA passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Villa St Joseph, Baden. She was born in Sewickley on August 2, 1928 to the late Frank and Grace Flowers (Fiorentino).  Rose was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Edmund W. Brezny(Zbrzezny) and  Sister of the late Carmella Copenhaver Kocay and Martin Flowers.  She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Peirce (Frederick) of Harmony, PA and son, Edmund Brezny (Sandra) of Coraopolis. Special grandmother to Danielle Peirce, Whitefish MT and Eric Peirce, Erie PA and Alexis Brezny and her fiance John Kazmierczyk, and Edmund Brezny both of Coraopolis, PA.  And many nieces and nephews, especially James (Marianne) Copenhaver of Moon Twp and Guy (Shirley) Pitch, Rochester, and her dog Mickey.    Rose graduated from Sewickley High School in 1946 and was employed at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator. She was a life time member of the St. James Church in Sewickley where she served as a member of the Christian mothers, 55 plus and was a former CCD instructor, She also was a local Girl Scout leader and faithful Steeler fan.. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley on Wednesday, June 5th from 2 - 7 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am followed by Mass of Christian burial at Divine our Redeemer, St. James Church, Sewickley at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the St. James Cemetery.  Rose loved animals and in lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to your favorite local animal rescue in her name
