Ronald Earl Plutto

Ronald Earl Plutto, age 81, of Moon Township died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Regina Cioppa Plutto; loving father of Cheryl (Eric) Schrift and Daniel (Noel) Plutto; grandfather of Elizabeth and William Plutto and Jillian Schrift; brother of Richard (Barbara Dugan) Plutto, William (Candice) Plutto and the late John (surviving spouse, Lillian) Plutto. Ron was a graduate of Rankin HS in 1958. He graduated from Robert Morris with a BS in business. He joined the U. S. Navy from 1958 – 62, attaining the rank of Petty Officer second class. After his military service, he became a production manager for U. S. Airways. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, serving as an usher and an alter server, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Friends will be received at R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Rd., Moon Township on Thursday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm where a funeral prayer will be held on Friday at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Food Pantry in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2270 Brodhead Rd, Moon Twp., PA 15108.
