Rocco "Rocky" D. Tassone

Tassone, Rocco "Rocky" D. Age 100, of Moon Township, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Gilda (Cortese) Tassone. Cherished father of Ronald (Susan) Tassone of Wexford, PA, Gary (Anna) Tassone of Chippewa, PA and Mark (Angela) Tassone of Kennedy Twp, PA. Brother of Mary Stella Sheehy of CA, Margaret Jean Livermore of AZ and the late Jenny Butler, Fanny Gorschck and James, Louis and Fortunato Tassone. Grandfather of Matthew (Isabel) Tassone, Lisa (Jordan) Knapp, Tina (Andrew) Miller, Jarrett (Rebecca) Tassone, Anthony (Jing) Tassone, Daniel Tassone, Stephanie (Tyler) Deluco and Enrica Tassone. Great-grandfather of Carter, Elena, Rocco, Marcelo, Leo, Ria and one great-grandchild on the way. Rocky was a World War II veteran having served his country in the US Navy. After returning from the war, he worked and retired from LTV Steel in Aliquippa. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 - 8 PM and Friday from 2 -4 and 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Copelands Funeral Home, Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Avenue, where prayers will be on Saturday at 11:30 AM followed by Mass at St. Joseph Church at 12 Noon. Burial along with full military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rocky’s name can be made to St. Joseph’s Church.
