Robert "Bob" G. Speicher

Robert “Bob” Speicher, 88, of Crescent Township, passed away peacefully with his devoted wife Molly by his side on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Born July 27, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Roth) Speicher. Robert graduated from St. Wendelin High School in 1952 and went on to work in the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development for more than 35 years. Robert was a masterful craftsman who enjoyed many hobbies with his children and grandchildren, including woodworking and model aviation and railroading. He enjoyed traveling the U.S. with his family, having taken trips to Hawaii, Nevada, Florida, and several other states since his retirement in 2003. A fixture in his front yard when the weather was fair, Robert enjoyed the company of his kind neighbors and was a friend to all dogs. Although sometimes a man of few words, Robert was nevertheless known for his deadpan humor.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife Anna “Molly” (Haberland), loving children Dorene (R. Jeffrey) Fear of Rural Valley, Susan (Charles) Seibel of Cranberry Township, Jeffrey (Patty) Speicher of Harmony, Mary Beth (Ed) Rozell of Florida, Jonathan (Susan) Speicher of Pittsburgh, and Elly (Jason) Breves of New York, grandchildren Joseph and Richard Seibel, Kaela Speicher, and Timothy and Caroline Breves, sister Alice Baumiller of Brentwood, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his former wife Regina “Jean” (Paradine) Speicher.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff of New Hope Gracious Personal Care in Avalon for their kindness while caring for Robert in his last few months.

As per Robert's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. If desired, memorials may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society.
