Robert "Bob" James Maruca

Robert “Bob” James Maruca, 89, a proud American who retired after 22 years serving in the U.S. Air Force, a Moon Township resident over 50 years, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Sewickley on February 4, 1932, one of six children to the late Michael and Sara (Massi) Maruca. He married the love of his life on Oct. 29, 1960, Audrey Mae Keldusis Maruca who preceded him in death on April 2, 2021, 60 years of a once in a lifetime. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Joseph Maruca, and his siblings Angie (Tony) Sangermano, Thelma (Bob) Bradford, Thomas Maruca and Joseph Magisana. Loving father of Janet and John Hutchins of Moon Township and Sharon and Robert Kingerski of Baden; cherished grandfather of Christina Hutchins Brancato (Frank), Maria Hutchins-Osbourne (Dane), Robert M. Kingerski, Nicholas Kingerski (Veronica Kost), and Jessica Kingerski; proud great grandfather of Christopher and Samuel Brancato; well-loved brother of Pam (Jim) Fawcett, will be missed by all his nephews and nieces. Bob was owner/operator of Cousins Lounge, Sessions , Johnny Dollars and Cousins Travel. Other hobbies included visiting the Casino and playing Poker with his buddies. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited on Saturday at 9:00 AM followed by Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery with full Military honors. Masks are mandatory.
