Robert (Bob) W. Kamicker, 73, of Findlay Township, formerly of Ambridge, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital. Bob was born in Sewickley on January 18, 1948, oldest son of the late Peter and Mary (Koblik) Kamicker. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Ambridge High School. He attained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts from California State College in 1970. His teaching career spanned 35 years, first as an Industrial Arts Teacher in the Steel Valley School District in Pittsburgh. In 1984, he obtained a second bachelor’s degree from Point Park University in Elementary Education. He then taught in the Freedom Area School District, Beaver County, as a third grade Elementary Teacher where he retired. Bob was a true car enthusiast, liking all cars, old and new, and especially corvettes. He enjoyed attending car cruises and car shows, even traveling as far as Detroit. He also enjoyed going to model train and toy shows. Bob was a frequent walker in Sewickley with his Shetland Sheep dog “Corky” who was fondly referred to by the locals as, “The Mayor” of Sewickley. He will be greatly missed by his sister Kathleen Ann Kamicker, his brother Kenneth P Kamicker and sister in-law, Sharon Kamicker as well as his 7 month old Shetland Sheep dog, “Rory.” A private service will be held at the Copeland Funeral Home in Coraopolis.
