Robert "Bob" Gartz

Robert Gartz, born July 21, 1950, passed away on August 30, 2025, at age 75. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Gartz, his sister Linda Burns, and his parents Harold Gartz and Ruth Combs Gartz. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Dianne Gartz; his son, Bradley Gartz; daughter-in-law, Danielle Gartz; grandchildren, Lexi Smonko, Lindsey Gartz, Tyler Gartz, and Miranda Gartz; and great-grandson, Landon Lion. He is also survived by his brother Richard Gartz and sisters Patricia Wolfgang and Mary Lee Kight.

Known as “Pappy” to his grandchildren, Robert loved spending time with family, cheering for Pittsburgh sports teams, collecting coins, playing poker, and preserving family history. He will be remembered for his warm spirit and deep devotion to his loved ones.
