Robert Zunski

Robert Zunski, 90, of Franklin Park, formerly of Moon Township, passed away peacefully in his home with his family present on Monday, November 13, 2023. He was born in Hazelton, PA on August 29, 1933, to the late Clarence and Margaret (Kimmel) Zunski. On July 21, 2014, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Leota M. (Quigley) Zunski. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings Bernadine Chupela, Clarence, Andy, Leo, and Charlie Zunski. Beloved father of Cheryl (Louie) Linares of Murietta CA and Robert J. (Penny) Zunski of Franklin Park; cherished grandfather of Rene Carter, Dannielle Mata, Allison Meeks, Molly Zunski, Christopher Zunski; ACgreat grandfather of Chloe, Hailey, Kayla, Alison, Aurora Mata, and Olivia Carter; brother of Margaret “Peggy” Figueiredo of Florida and Eileen Martini of Hazelton. Robert was retired from Wickes Furniture where he had been a long-time salesman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert found landscaping and working in his yard relaxing. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching all sports. Robert loved God, his family, and his country. Visitation Wednesday 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM. Rev. Larry F. Mort officiating. Burial will follow with full Military Honors in Sewickley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to any veteran service organization.
