Robert K. “Robby” McFadden, 66, of Moon Township, formerly of Williamsport, lost his battle with cancer in the early morning hours of Monday, October 28, 2024, at his home, with his wife and son by his side. One of six children, he was born in Eugene, Oregon on February 11, 1958, a son of Mary (Fischer) McFadden the late Robert McFadden. Beloved husband for 31 years of Jude McFadden; loving father of Brandon Jamison McFadden; cherished brother of Marianne (Mark) Kramer, Valerie Burns McFadden, Karen (Steve) Simpson, Randy (Ursela) McFadden, and Brett (Lisa) McFadden; and his three lifelong childhood friends from Williamsport, Ben, Robbie and Mike. Robby, respected by his colleagues, was the friendly gate agent for US Airways and American Airlines for 44 years, retiring in 2021. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan and Notre Dame Fan. Robby was also a faithful fan to Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, traveling all over the USA to attend their concerts. Robby, growing up in Williamsport, was caught up in the electrifying and enthusiastic baseball atmosphere that was ever present due to the hosting of the International Little League World Series, of which he was a fan. Robby grew up loving baseball and was also a great baseball player. Everything he knew about baseball was attributed to his father’s coaching. Robby’s family would like to thank the Heritage Valley Sewickley 7th Floor Staff and Jess from hospice for their excellent care these past few days. There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Copeland’s.
