Robert “Sonny” Coradi, age 88, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. He was born in Coraopolis on November 13, 1932 to the late Louis and Anna (Bosetti) Coradi. Beloved husband of Mary Lou (Bell) Coradi of 67 years; loving father of Robert (Judith) Coradi, Cynthia (Tom) Zieger, Richard (Jennifer) Coradi and Karen (Scott) Gallo; brother of Gloria (Late Graham) Gass and Shirley (Jim) Burak; dear grandfather of Michael (Jennifer), Kristin (Jay), Justin (Amanda), Amanda, Sarah, Chloe (Calvin), Thomas (Elizabeth) Caleb and Scott; great grandfather of Santino, Isabella, Sophia, Knox, Cristian, Willow and Hayez, Robert loved fishing, was an avid golfer and bowler. He loved all Pittsburgh sports teams, but the Pens were his favorite. He was a member of the Moon Elks, was a U. S. Army veteran who served in Fairbanks Alaska during the Korean War. Robert managed numerous A & P Stores for over 25 years and then had his own 7/11 franchise in Kennedy Township. Friends will be received at Copeland’s, 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Sunday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm where a funeral prayer will be held on Monday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis at 10 am.
