Richard "Dick" Jukes

Richard “Dick” Jukes, born in Cyprus on September 27, 1952, and a longtime resident of Monaca, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home on July 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.

Dick was the beloved husband of Debbie Jukes, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Melissa, and cherished his son-in-law Greg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma and Donald Jukes of Coraopolis, PA. He is survived by his brother, Donald Jukes, and his wife, Ellen, of Imperial, Pa; his brother, Robert Jukes, and his wife, Donna, of Center Township, Pa; his sister, Linda Paul, and her husband, Gary, of Cape Coral, Florida; many beloved nieces and nephews; numerous extended family members; and cherished friends.

A 1970 graduate of Moon High School, Dick went on to earn his degree in Business and Finance from Robert Morris College. He enjoyed a successful career in banking that spanned several decades, retiring as a loan officer from Mellon Bank. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike for his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering dedication.

Outside of work, Dick found his greatest happiness in the outdoors and spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed camping and eagerly anticipated annual camping trips with close friends. He also looked forward to his annual fishing trips, where the time spent on the water, and the stories shared with friends created lasting memories. Dick also cherished yearly family beach trips, which became a special tradition spent with his wife Debbie, daughter Melissa, and son-in-law, Greg. These trips brought the family together for treasured time filled with laughter, relaxation, and memories they will always hold close. Whether gathered around a campfire, casting a line, or enjoying time by the shore, Dick treasured the friendships and experiences that enriched his life.

Above all, Dick will be remembered for his deep love of family, his loyal friendship, his kind heart, and his appreciation for life’s simple joys. His gentle presence, warm smile, and steady character touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of Allegheny Home Hospice for their compassionate care and support, as well as to the Oncology Department at AHN Hospital for the exceptional care provided throughout Dick’s courageous journey.

Those wishing to honor Dick’s memory are invited to make a memorial donation in his name to the National Glioblastoma Foundation in lieu of flowers.

Honoring Dick’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private burial will be held with his immediate family.
