Richard “Dick” R. Gregory, age 75, a 45-year resident of Moon Township, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 with his family present at UPMC Presbyterian. Born in Pittsburgh on March 18, 1943, he was only child to the late Raymond Richard and Margaret Elizabeth (Hanahan) Gregory. He married the love of his life on July 6, 1968, Carolyn (Osenbau) Gregory. They had a wonderful 50th Anniversary with all of their family present. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 wonderful children: Raymond (Stephanie) Gregory of Clinton, Shannon Gregory of Moon Township, Meghan (T.J.) Botkin of Clinton and Richard (Jennifer) Gregory; and 4 cherished grandchildren: Tatum Gregory, Jacob Botkin, Keegan Gregory, and Aidan Gregory. Dick earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Robert Morris University. He went on to be Branch Manager at Sperry Univac Project and then to Verizon. He proudly served in the the US. Army in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Dick Gregory was a family man and very involved. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis where he was past treasurer. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows, the B.P.O.E., the Hopewell VFW and a 50 year member of Lodge F & AM # 674, Coraopolis. He loved coaching youth in baseball, football and golf. His hobbies were golfing and collecting trains. Visitation Thursday 4-8 (VFW Service at 7:00 PM and B.P.O.E. at 7:30 PM) and Friday 2-6 PM (Masonic Service at 5:30 PM) at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. Everyone please meet at the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis on Saturday for funeral service at 11 AM. Rev. Dr. Thomas Petrosky, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery. Because of his successful double lung transplant over a year ago, the family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations in his name to The Gift of Life Family House, 401 Callowhill St., Philadelphia, PA 19123-4018, www.GiftofLifeFamilyHouse.org.
