Richard Alan “JJ” MacGregor, 70, of Moon Township, formerly of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully at home with his family present on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh on April 29, 1950 to the late Homer and Helen Mae MacGregor. Beloved husband of Connie Schiavo MacGregor; loving step-father of John Schiavo and Mario Schiavo (Maureen); cherished step-grandfather of Amanda Zagari (Michael). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard MacGregor and his well- loved cat, Camille. Richard was proud to serve his country during Vietnam as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He was retired from Peoples Gas now Dominion Resources. Richard and his wife Connie traveled to many local community theaters and were supporters of the arts subscribing yearly to the South Park Theater. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and the American Legion #0472. He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed the rifle range and was a member of both the NRA and Forest Grove Sportsman’s Association Inc. #492. He loved his yard, feeding and watching the birds. Visitation Thursday 6-8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited Friday at 10:30 AM followed by Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery with full Military Honors.
