Richard Anthony Karl

Richard Anthony Karl, 78, of Coraopolis for the past twenty years, formerly of Ingram, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital with his son and daughter-in-law by his side. Richard was born in Pittsburgh on November 13, 1943, one of five children to the late Frank and Sophia (Reseta) Karl. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara (Lapicki) Karl. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Adelaide Gordon and two brothers Frank and Joseph Karl. Richard is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law Richard Anthony Karl II and Kimberly; his sister Cindy Karl; his two stepchildren Renee Hudson and Robert Karl; and two step-grandchildren Ashley and Zach Hudson. Richard was a talented draftsman employed for 25 + years by Liquitec, Inc. Richard was also a master at gambling, enjoying poker, traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and New Orleans. Richard also enjoyed bowling and served 10 years as Sec/Treasurer for ARDBC Bowling Congress. He also just enjoyed traveling, especially with his cherished son and daughter-in-law Richard and Kim who he was very close to, just like the “Three Muskateers”. Visitation Thursday (Dec. 23) 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery.
