Richard Derenda

Richard Derenda, age 64, of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Born in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Richard L. and Vera M. Derenda. Husband of the late Elizabeth Marie Taylor Derenda; father of Richard Charles (Alyssa Kobylski) Derenda and Scott Anthony (Chelsea) Derenda; grandfather of Charlie Devon, Skylar Elizabeth and Daxton Richard Derenda; brother of Joe, Robin and the late Linda Derenda. Richard was a graduate of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, OH.. He was a longtime plant manager at Over Seas Packing. He was a member of the Moon Quarterback Club and the Elks Club, and, in his spare time he enjoyed cooking, coin collecting, NASCAR, and watching Cleveland Browns football games and a good John Wayne movie. A celebration of Life for Richard is being held on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 4 – 8 pm at Shulligan’s Sports Bar & Grill, 2422 Brodhead Road, Hopewell, PA 15001 and all are invited. The family suggest that you donate to your favorite charity in Richard’s name. Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Inc., Moon Township.
