Remy L. Schindler

Remy L. Schindler,77, of Millvale, passed away surrounded by the loving presence of his family, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 8, 1947, to the late Fredrick and Gertrude (Burgunder) Schindler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son George Schindler. Remy is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Christine (Klingensmith) Schindler; loving children Stacy (Robert) Martinkovich, Joseph (Linda) Schindler, and Sandra Miller;  cherished grandfather of Taylor Martinkovich, Bobby Martinkovich, Ashley Schindler, Thomas Joseph “TJ” (Melissa) Schindler, Matthew Miller, Jeffrey Pfoertner, Renee Pfoertner, and Shay Schindler; proud great grandfather of Jadore Watson, Michael, Hailey, Austin and Grayson; well-loved brother of Terri Bohn, Robert (Sudie) Schindler, Fritz (Mary Lou) Schindler, Bill Schindler, and Tony (Carie) Schindler.  Remy retired from Iron City Spring where he was a fitter’s assistant. Remy was Catholic, believed in God and prayed daily. Remy loved his family and will always be with them in spirit.  Remy was loved by his family and will be forever cherished and remebered.  A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.  Arrangement’s by Copeland’s.
