In the blink of an eye, the short time of 60 years together has ended all too soon. Raymond Albert “Bugsy” Deramo, Jr. was called from his earthly life on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from Heritage Valley Sewickley. Bugsy was fortunate enough to be born at home in Coraopolis on May 30, 1935, and he was able to make that same place his home for all of his 91 years. Raymond was one of three children to the late Anna (Albino) and Raymond Albert Deramo. Ray was a life-long resident of Coraopolis and a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis. He worked at various insurance companies and was an honest insurance agent that cared about his clientele. He loved coaching softball and in 1979, he took his Kiwanis Sox all the way to the World Series. Bugsy enjoyed watching Boxing. As a participant, you could find him at the bowling alley or out in the woods, hunting. Every year, he would dig over his garden and plant the best garlic. Bugsy married the love of his life on August 16, 1966, Dorothy (Menke) Deramo who survives him. Loving father of Patty (Darrin) Sharon Tobias and Ronald Ashley Deramo; cherished grandfather of Jessica Rae (Ronald) Tobias, Katherine (Taylor) Alivia Pulicella, and Noah Christian Deramo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters Vera Ann Deramo and Elizabeth Deramo. Visitation Monday (July 20th) 2 PM until time of service at 3:15 PM with continued visitation from 6-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation in his name to Valley Ambulance Authority.
