Raymond C. "Ray" Barton

Raymond C. “Ray” Barton, age 84, of Moon Township formerly of Moon Run passed away peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Ray was born April 23, 1942, to the late Arthur H. and Anna V. Barton. He was also preceded in death by his brother Arthur H. Barton, Jr.

Ray was the beloved husband of Sarah “Sally” (Magee) for nearly 57 years.

Ray is survived by Sally to whom he was a loving and devoted husband; loving father to Jody (Joe) Kochis and Tammy Barton; sister  Karen Postava and sister-in-law Janet Barton.

Ray retired in 1997 as a Math teacher at Montour High School after 35 years of dedicated service.

Ray was a member of the former Moon Run Presbyterian Church and currently the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis where he had the privilege of making many wonderful friends.

Ray will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, from 12 Noon until time of service at 2:30 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, 1201 5th Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
