Ralph D. Fluharty, 71, of Coraopolis, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his residence. Born June 28, 1949 in Sistersville, Ohio, he was one of seven children born to the late Clarence and Kathryn (Dunn) Fluharty. Ralph loved all the hometown teams, but mainly favoring the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed spending time fishing, whether it was at Findley Lake, NY, Racoon, the beach, or the Ohio River; vacationing at the beach or being out in the boat with his canine companions. His all-time favorite activity was being Pap Pap to his cherished grandchildren; spending time playing baseball, reading comics, and doing crafts. Whatever he was doing, he would have his wife, Claudia by his side.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Gary and Jerry Fluharty.
He will be remembered and greatly missed by his wife of nearly 49 years, Claudia (Bumblis) Fluharty, his children, Jeneane (Christopher) Sinoply, Kristine (Nathan) Carver, Cynthia (Troy) Miller; his grandchildren, Cameron, Daylen, Isabell and Tommy; his sisters, Diane (Bob) Gartz and Sharon Elliott; his brothers, Stanley Fluharty and Jeff (Andrea) Fluharty.
Friends will be received Monday, May 3, 2021 from 4-8pm at the Copeland’s 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis. Service and burial will be private.
