We are very sad to announce the death of our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and co-worker, Rachel M. Ferguson on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Rachel, being only 40 years young, had so much life to still be lived. She was a loving and caring person who had a huge heart for animals and children. Rachel was born in Sewickley on August 4, 1984, to her cherished parents Dennis Ferguson and Donna Wagner Ferguson. She is the loving sister of Steven (Kasi) Ferguson and their children Kyra and Kenneth; granddaughter of David and Patricia Wagner of Moon Twp., and the late Donald and Mary Lee Ferguson of Neville Island; a multitude of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; her cat companions Nike 12, Diamond 7, and Angel 2. Rachel grew up on Neville Island and was a 2002 graduate of Cornell High School where she had received honors & academic awards, a talented member of the high school band, cheerleader, first female member of Cornell’s golf team, & certified student athletic trainer. She enthusiastically performed dance and gymnastics with Carol Leone and the Miller School of Dance. Rachel was a graduate of West Virginia Northern Community College and recognized on the Presidents List of April 2016. She had most recently been a resident of Aliquippa. For 20 years, she had worked her way up to supervisor of Walmart, working at Weirton, WV, Robinson Township and Moon Township. She also worked in customer service in the health care industry for Willis Towers Watson. Gifted with a mind that could keep health care plans and criteria straight, she always made her clients feel special and gave them sound information. Her broad love of animals led her to volunteer at Beaver County Humane Society. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa, PA 15001. Rachel’s death has left us all with an unfathomable void. We will always LOVE YOU, MISS YOU, and NEVER FORGET YOU!! Arrangements entrusted to Copeland Funeral Homes.
