Phyllis Ann (Milling) Lang, 85, of Sewickley, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. She was born in Youngstown, OH on October 20, 1938, one of two daughters born to the late Thomas J. and Nellie (Kelly) Milling. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Charles F. Lang, Jr; loving mother of Thomas Lang of Sewickley, Kelly (Jeffrey) Smith of Moon Township, Pamela Lang of Sewickley; cherished sister of Nellie Shaw of Augusta, GA; also 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles (Chic) Lang III, and her daughter, Leslie Jackson. Phyllis was a graduate of Sewickley High School and attended Liberty University. She was an office manager at Residential Resources until her retirement in 2016. Phyllis, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and sister, was a well-known motorcyclist. She taught Motorcycle Safety for over 20 years and was written about in several publications. She was a member of Women on Wheels, Motor Maids, the Iron Butt Association, American Motorcyclists Association (AMA), the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and the Retreads. She enjoyed riding long-distances, proudly competed in five Iron Butt Rallies (11,000 miles in 11 days touching all four corners of the United States of America.
Visitation: Monday (Sept. 9th) 2-4 PM, 6-8 PM with service on Tuesday (Sept. 10th) at 11 AM at Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. Officiating will be her husband, Rev. Charles J. Lang, Jr.
