Patrick T. Dugan, The Weatherman, 89, of Moon Township and Coraopolis area most of his life, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. He was born in Erie, PA on October 4, 1931, one of six children to the late Julie and Patrick Thomas Dugan, Sr. He was preceded in death by his second wife Sharlene (Hall) Nolte Dugan and his first wife Carol (Waldau) Dugan. Father of Timothy Dugan, Ann Black (Terry), Kevin Dugan, Patrick Dugan (Tina), Jeffrey Dugan, and Andrew Dugan (Diane); grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 23; stepfather of Elizabeth Hoy (Steven, Richard Nolte II, Thomas Nolte (Cindy), Michael Nolte, Wade Nolte (Billie Jo), Robin Nolte (Valerie); 9 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Dugan and siblings Jack, Eddy, Tom, Ruth and Sue. Patrick was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church. He retired 1987 after 37 years with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric National Weather Station Eastern Region. One of his missions as a weatherman was to test the air quality after Three Mile Island where there was exposure to radiation. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His hobbies including gardening both vegetables and flowers and he had played softball in his earlier years. Visitation Monday 1-5 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
