Patricia Lou Gold of Neville Island passed away peacefully on June 13, 2020. Born in Pittsburgh on March 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rachel Gold. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of Science in Education and worked for many years as a beloved teacher in Cornell School District.
Pat was an avid reader and worked as a teacher until her early retirement in 1975. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling around the world with her dear friend and neighbor, Frieda Beaman. Pat shared her love and appreciation for her family with her amazing cooking. She loved to share her nearly famous meals with her family and neighbors. Pat could often be found tending to vegetables in her garden and was known for her green thumb. She also adored her cat Ariadne, who lived with her for 20 years.
Pat is survived by niece Jennifer Gold Iserloh, who she loved like a daughter, and brothers Glenn Gold, Ronald Gold, and Lou Gold.
Pat will be interred privately in Coraopolis Cemetery. Arrangements by Copeland’s.
