Park Dewitt Casteel, 77, of Chagrin Falls, OH, formally of Moon Township, PA passed away on November 24, 2021. Mr. Casteel was born April 30, 1944 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Harland D. Casteel and Olive (Davis) Casteel.
He was a 1962 graduate of Dormont High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Edinboro University. He was a proud member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He had a career in Sales/Marketing in the underground mining cable industry.
Park had a zest for life and loved making people laugh with his quick wit and sarcastic comments. He was a storyteller and would talk to anyone he would meet. He enjoyed golfing, cars, going antiquing with his wife, boating and loved touring homes. He was always proud to call himself a “Yinzer” and was an avid Steeler fan. One of his favorite places to spend time was Deep Creek Lake Maryland. His love for his family always came first.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Calabrese Casteel, sister, Judy Harrison and her husband, Erik, and daughters Beth Cady and her husband Christopher, Erin Rainsberger and her fiance’ Michael Kaper, Moon Township, PA; stepchildren, Deena Calabrese and Joseph Greiner; Sam and Laura Calabrese, Jonathan and Kristy Calabrese. Proud Grandfather of 13 grandchildren; Ashley, Cole, Aidan, Ella, Jackson, Avery, Nicolas, Gianna, Leo, Brooke, Gabe, Julian and Adrian
Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. in R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Rd., Moon Twp., where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimers Association www.act.alz.org in honor of Park.
