Nicholas Fuller Obituary

Nicholas Anthony Fuller, 74, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on March 8, 1950, he was the son of the late Nicholas Sokol and Helen McCorkle Sokol.

Nicholas proudly served his country as a United States Marine, seeing combat during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. His courage and dedication to his fellow Marines embodied the values he carried throughout his life: strength, loyalty, and perseverance.

After his military service, Nicholas worked at U.S. Steel Homestead Works until its closure. A hardworking and determined man, he later became the owner and operator of Nick’s Service Center in Duquesne, where he served his community with integrity and care for many years.  He later worked and retired from the Port Authority of Pittsburgh as a bus driver.

Nicholas’ greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved son, Jeffrey Fuller (wife, Claudia Fuller) of Moon Township, PA; his devoted daughters, Jaime Kerrigan (husband, Christopher Kerrigan) of Hernando, MS, and Haley Fuller (partner, Eddie Graft) of McKeesport, PA.

He was the proud grandfather of Kaylie Martinowski of Cary, NC; Reilly and Rory Kerrigan, of Hernando, MS; and Mason Blatchford of Moon Township, PA. Nicholas’ legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in their hearts and the memories they hold dear.

Arrangements will be handled by Copeland Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Coraopolis, PA. In accordance with Nicholas’ wishes, there will be no public funeral home viewing, but his family will honor his memory in a way that reflects his life and love for them and his country.  Details will be posted to his Facebook Page in the coming weeks, or it will be searchable on https://www.cem.va.gov/dailyburialschedule/.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nicholas’ memory can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to support his fellow veterans.
